Roaster's Notes This Kenya AA is a vibrant and expressive coffee with bright citrus acidity and a silky, creamy body. Notes of lemon and peach come forward alongside a subtle tea-like character and hints of pine. The cup finishes clean and lingering, making this a classic example of the lively, complex character we look for in Kenyan coffees.
Barista Notes A versatile coffee that really shines as a filter brew, where its citrus and tea-like qualities are especially pronounced. As espresso, expect a bright, juicy shot with lemon and peach notes and a creamy texture. We recommend a slightly longer ratio to highlight the sweetness and keep the acidity balanced.
About the Coffee Kathithinku is a small microlot from Nyeri County's Mathira West District, grown at 1600–1900 metres. The coffee is produced from SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian varieties. At the Kathithinku wet mill, cherries are selectively hand-picked and carefully sorted before being washed and sun-dried on raised beds. The result is a clean, vibrant cup with the bright acidity and distinctive citrus and tea-like character associated with high-quality Kenyan coffee
